Kawartha Wildlife Centre gives animals a second chance

When Alissa Paxton rescued a brown bat from her friend’s house in January, she relied on help and advice from Olivia┬áVandersanden to nurse it back to health through the winter. Vandersanden has opened a new wildlife rehabilitation centre, the first of its kind in the Kawarthas.

Peterborough Currents spoke with Paxton about the bat she helped to save, and with Vandersanden about her ambitious plans for the Kawartha Wildlife Centre. Listen here:
