What’s coming for Peterborough Currents

Hello all,

Ayesha here, with an update about what’s coming up for Peterborough Currents. Will is off doing an exciting magazine fellowship for the next few months in Toronto. And I’m going to be hosting and producing solo for a bit.

I’ve also decided to try out a live format for Peterborough Currents broadcast through Trent Radio (92.7 FM) Sunday mornings from 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. I am doing live interviews, taking phone calls and playing documentaries that I’m working on for the podcast. Find more info here.

There’s a podcast episode in the works that’s taking a bit longer than expected to put together about being a member of the LGBTQ+ community in Peterborough and the Kawarthas. I had hoped to post that in September just after the Peterborough Pride celebrations, but unfortunately I haven’t been able to get that together. If you’d like to hear rough cut aspects of it, you can listen to the live shows.

In the meantime, a municipal election is fast approaching and I am preparing some content on local politics to help folks make informed decisions. Those will go up as they’re ready, rather than in one big podcast in case folks are looking to do advance polling.

Sorry to shake up the format a little bit and keep you waiting for the Pride episode. I’m now looking at uploading it in November so I can post municipal election coverage all through October.

Thanks for your support!
